DAR MIMAROPA awards P16M worth contract for the ARCCESS Service Providers

DAR MIMAROPA sealed partnership with the Foundation for Rural Enterprise and Ecology Development of Mindanao (FREEDOM), Inc. and Infoshare Management Systems, as the Professional Service Providers (PSPs) for the 12 ARCCESS Batch2 Sub-Projects amounting to P16M.

With the contract signing on 27 April in DAR Conference Hall Pasig City, DAR MIMAROPA was represented by its Regional Director Erlinda Pearl V. Armada together with the FREEDOM Executive Director Antonio S. Peralta and Infoshare CEO Imelda Pangga.

FREEDOM being the Agri-Extension Services (AES) provider intends to conduct capacity development on agri-technology taking into account the needs and market preferences for the provinces of Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan with the total contract amount of P4.8 M.

The engagement of Business Development Services (BDS), also with FREEDOM, will focus in enhancing/developing the ARB Organizations (ARBOs) to operate self-sustaining agricultural enterprises covering all the provinces in the Region amounting to P9.5 M.

To achieve the overall objective of ARCCESS Project, sound design and methodology of progress and process monitoring (PPM) is important. Infoshare, being the PPM, will employ both quantitative and qualitative design/methods and develop appropriate monitoring tools to include online database management for the Region with the contract amount cost of P1.7M.

“ARCCESS Project seeks to procure service providers to assist the organizations in the conduct of Research & Development on agri-production and apply it through farmer field school (FFS) to achieve increase productivity and income”, RD Erlinda Pearl Armada emphasizing the importance of the engagement of PSPs.

Newly-procured PSPs will commence after the issuance of Notice to Proceed for one-year implementation period.
